FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

What is an aura?

An aura is the electromagnetic energy field that surrounds all living beings. This energy can be expressed in various colors, and no two auras are exactly alike. Your aura’s hue may shift depending on factors such as your environment, mood, health, and overall consciousness. Auras can provide insight into an individual’s emotional and spiritual well-being.

What is aura photography?

Aura photography is a specialized technique that visually captures your energy field using a biofeedback camera. This interactive experience reads your body’s electromagnetic energy and translates it into a unique aura portrait. Your aura appears as a colorful overlay on a Polaroid-style image, with each hue, its intensity, and placement offering deeper meaning.

What are the benefits of getting an aura photograph taken?

An aura photograph offers a colorful visual reflection of your energy in the present moment. It can encourage self-reflection, help you explore emotional or energetic patterns, and offer insight into what you may be feeling, processing, or moving through.

Many people use aura photography as a tool for personal growth, meditation, healing work, or simply as a meaningful way to pause and connect with themselves. With interpretation, the colors and patterns can offer gentle guidance around mood, creativity, stress, grounding, communication, and self-care.

Aura portraits can also be a beautiful way to track perceived shifts over time, especially during seasons of change, reflection, or intentional healing.

CAN I HAVE A BAD AURA?

Absolutely not! There’s no such thing as a bad aura. Each aura is unique, and every color holds significance—representing different aspects of your energy, emotions, and personality. An aura can possibly highlight negative aspects of energy of an individual that may be overwhelmed, overstimulated, or experiencing burnout, and more can be illuminated by an aura session that includes an interpretation.

How do I prepare for an aura photography session to ensure accurate results?

  • Hydrate, rest, and avoid alcohol or recreational drugs beforehand. Dehydration, fatigue, and substances can alter skin conductivity and physiological signals that aura cameras use.

  • Dress simply: wear solid, neutral or single-color clothing (no busy patterns), remove large or reflective jewelry, and avoid heavy makeup or glitter that could affect how light and sensors read your skin. Clean, wrinkle-free clothes are recommended.

  • Arrive calm and on time; set a clear intention or question if you want focused insight. A few minutes of grounding/deep breathing or light meditation before the shot helps stabilize your energy and the reading.

  • Follow the operator’s instructions precisely: you’ll usually place your hands on sensor plates and must hold still for the exposure. Aura systems translate biofeedback (temperature/skin conductivity/etc.) into colors, so steady posture and contact are important.

  • Minimize strong scents (perfume, lotions) and remove bulky electronics or metal objects from pockets; also avoid highly stimulating activities (intense exercise or caffeine) immediately before the session. These factors can introduce noise into the reading.
