Strange Hues is a full-service aura photography experience. We bring our specialized aura photography system, professional lighting, backdrop, portrait materials, and everything needed to transform your designated space into an interactive aura activation.

What will my guests experience?

Each guest is personally welcomed and guided through the aura photography process from beginning to end. The experience creates an intentional moment to slow down, connect with their energy, and experience the excitement of seeing their aura captured on film.

What does each guest receive?

Participating guests receive a one-of-a-kind physical aura portrait to take home, along with an aura color interpretation guide that helps them explore the colors, energy, and themes reflected in their photograph. Personalized energy interpretations may also be available depending on your selected experience.

Aura photography offers more than a traditional photo opportunity. It naturally sparks curiosity, conversation, self-reflection, and connection as guests discover their own energy and share the experience with others. Their physical portrait also becomes a meaningful keepsake from your event.

Who manages guests during the experience?

We do. Strange Hues welcomes participants, guides the photography process, manages guest flow, and distributes completed portraits. Your team can focus on hosting while we independently facilitate the aura experience for your guests.

What does my team need to handle before and after the event?

We keep the lift for your team minimal. Strange Hues coordinates placement, timing, accessibility, and service flow with you beforehand, then handles our complete setup and breakdown on-site. You provide the space and the guests. We take care of the experience.

Start by submitting an Aura Experience inquiry with your event date, location, estimated attendance, service timeframe, and vision for the experience. From there, we’ll help determine which of our Guest-Paid, Prepaid Portrait, or Fully Hosted experiences best supports your event.

How far in advance should I book?

We recommend reaching out as early as possible, especially for weekends, corporate events, weddings, and larger activations. Availability is limited and your event date is not secured until the required $150 non-refundable deposit has been received.

How much space is needed for the aura setup?

Strange Hues requires a dedicated indoor space that comfortably accommodates our photography equipment, backdrop, photographer, and guest flow. Specific space, electrical, and placement requirements will be discussed during event coordination to ensure the best possible portrait quality and guest experience.

Capacity depends on your selected package, service time, and event flow. Our different Aura Experiences are designed to accommodate everything from a predetermined number of prepaid portraits to high-volume, fully hosted activations. We’ll recommend a service structure based on your anticipated attendance and desired level of participation.

How quickly can guests move through the experience?

Aura photography is an interactive process rather than a traditional photo booth. We intentionally balance efficiency with personal engagement so guests have time to be guided through their portrait while keeping the experience moving throughout your event. Your estimated attendance and desired participation will help us determine the appropriate service time.

Can guests purchase additional aura portraits?

Yes, depending on your selected package. Our Guest-Paid Experience allows guests to purchase their own portraits, while our Prepaid Aura Portrait Experience includes a host-purchased collection of complimentary portraits with the option for guests to purchase additional portraits once those have been redeemed. Fully Hosted Experiences include guest portraits within the host's reserved service.

Our team arrives before the scheduled service period to complete setup, test equipment, and prepare the experience before guests begin participating. Arrival and load-in details are coordinated with your team in advance so your reserved service time is dedicated to your guests.

Once your experience is selected, Strange Hues will provide your booking details, payment requirements, and next steps. After your reservation is secured, we’ll coordinate the logistical details leading up to your event so you know exactly what to expect before we arrive.
