Introducing Strange Hues
My name is Jordan Hughes, and I’m a native Houstonian, born and raised in the heart of Third Ward. My journey into aura photography began with a desire to create something that felt meaningful, something that could help people reconnect with themselves in a deeper way.
That vision became Strange Hues Aura Photography.
Through aura photography and intuitive energy interpretation, I create space for people to see themselves beyond the physical. Each aura portrait serves as an energetic snapshot, offering a visual reflection of the energy, emotions, transitions, and inner shifts someone may be experiencing in that moment.
Over time, my work evolved beyond simply capturing a photograph. As I developed a deeper relationship with energy and strengthened my intuitive gifts through interpreting hundreds of aura portraits, I began to understand the power of helping people put language to what they were already feeling, sensing, and becoming.
At the heart of my work is a simple intention: to reconnect the collective to their higher selves.
I believe aura photography can serve as a bridge between our human experience and our inner knowing. Sometimes seeing your energy brings confirmation. Sometimes it reveals something asking for attention. And sometimes it simply reminds you of a part of yourself you may have forgotten.
Through Strange Hues, I blend art, energy, intuition, and meaningful conversation to create experiences that encourage reflection, self-awareness, connection, and energetic wellness.
For me, this work has never been just about taking a beautiful photograph. It is about creating an opportunity to see yourself more clearly, honor where you are, and reconnect with where your energy may be guiding you next.
